The historic center of Calonge will take a true journey back in time with the 27th edition of its Medieval Market, taking place on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. Coinciding with Holy Week, this well-established event stands out as one of the most attractive offerings on the Costa Brava’s tourist calendar.
Throughout the weekend, the streets of the old town will come alive with some forty activities designed for all ages. Live music, traveling shows, jousting tournaments, parades, workshops, and a large craft market will create an immersive medieval atmosphere that will captivate the visitors.
🚌 Free shuttle bus for easy access
One of the major new features this year is the launch of a free shuttle bus connecting Sant Antoni de Calonge with the historic center. The service will run continuously on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with several strategic stops to facilitate mobility during these busy days.
🎭 Culture, history, and unique experiences
The program also includes highlights such as the opening of the Castell de Calonge Espacio Gavarres, featuring dramatized tours that will allow visitors to discover the town’s history through an immersive experience.
With over two decades of history, the Calonge Medieval Market has established itself as a must-see event for discovering the heritage, culture, and traditions of the Costa Brava in a unique setting.
